The upsurge in malicious attacks on companies has increased sharply in recent months, with major financial impact. According to Symantec, France is today in the top 10 of the countries most affected by malware.
The DFCG University organised a workshop entitled “Cybersecurity and Big Data: Where are we at?” in Nantes on 27 June 2017. In addition to Christian Belval, Verlingue Specialty Director, contributions were made by Bertrand Guégano, Administrative and Financial Director of Oceanet and Aldo Borsani, Cyber and Financial Risk Underwriter with Chubb.
How to limit the impact of an adverse event? What support is needed in a crisis? How can risks be limited? As well as new attacks (ransomware), technical risks and human flaws, the workshop also mapped the risks directly related to data and pointed to priority directions for action.
Christian Belval stated “today loss prevention and protection strategies are no longer the prerogative of IT management but are handled at senior management-committee level”.
