Verlingue’s new ambitions

Ever more European and digital, the insurance broker Verlingue announces its new ambitions. The overriding goal is to double revenue by 2022.

Three years to double its turnover. Such is the objective set by the insurance broker Verlingue. This objective is based on a “very favourable” balance sheet, in the words of Eric Maumy, General Manager. Sales in 2018 increased by 13%. Over the 2016-2018 period, growth stood at 40%. Organic growth and acquisitions (two in Switzerland, one in the United Kingdom) are the main drivers of this performance.

40 million for digital

Building on these solid foundations, “it’s time to step up the pace,” says Eric Maumy. The most significant effort will focus on the company’s “digital transformation”. Already ahead in this field, Verlingue wants to completely “review the architecture of its information systems”. The company relies on grey matter, by recruiting experts, and on technology in a start-up mindset. Verlingue invests 40 million to achieve this by 2022.

To become a “European champion”, Verlingue will pursue acquisitions abroad. Still focusing on Switzerland as well as Great Britain despite the uncertainties of Brexit. Elsewhere in Europe if necessary. “We are ready to get into debt to implement this external growth plan.” The target is to double turnover from 166 million to 330 million by 2022. Employment is expected to follow the same trend.

While the number of offices in France and abroad is increasing, Quimper remains the head office of Verlingue. If we factor in Génération, the other company in the Adelaïde group, there are about a thousand people working in Finistère.
